Some of the great scientists and inventors were also accomplished artists, writers, and musicians:

  • Beatrix Potter (natural scientist, author)
  • Samuel F. B. Morse (invented the telegraph and Morse code, painter)
  • George Antheil (inventor, composer)
  • Alexander Borodin (chemist, composer)
  • Benjamin Franklin (inventor and statesman, invented the armonica)
  • Albert Einstein (physicist, violinist).
