Josh Wolfe website

Here's a personal note about a member of my family, my son Josh Wolfe.

You might be interested in some of the games and software available for free at his website

Josh believes in open-sourced software and he's created several fun games that include:

  • Loops
  • Snakefall
  • Legend of Swarkland

He also has a number of handy electronic aids for board games.  The character tracker for Betrayal at House on the Hill helps manage character traits as the game progresses.  His site includes an electronic dice roller for from 1 to 9 different, six-sided dice.

The site is free to anyone.  Feel free to try out the games.

In addition to his day job writing software for OKCupid, Josh currently is engaged in developing, along with his friend Andrew Kelly, a new programming language, Zig.  He is one of the directors of the Zig Software Foundation.

Josh has a generous heart.  My wife and I enjoyed playing the 1979 board game, Stop Thief, since the game came out.  Unfortunately, the "Electronic Crime Scanner," which is essential to the game, stopped working a few years back.  We couldn't play the game without it.  As a birthday gift, Josh designed a copy of the scanner and put it on his website.  The scanner Josh posted is fully functional.  The appearance is exactly right, including colors.  The sounds, too, are perfect.  Try them by pushing "On" and then any of the numbered buttons.  My wife and I have enjoyed being able to play the game again!

A lot of Josh's work is so technical I can barely understand what he's doing, even with his excellent explanations.  I am, as I'm sure you can tell, very proud of his keen mind and good heart.

Edward Wolfe

Edward Wolfe has been a fan of Christian apologetics since his teenage years, when he began seriously to question the truth of the Bible and the reality of Jesus. About twenty years ago, he started noticing that Christian evidences roughly fell into five categories, the five featured on this website.
Although much of his professional life has been in Christian circles (12 years on the faculties of Pacific Christian College, now a part of Hope International University, and Manhattan Christian College and also 12 years at First Christian Church of Tempe), much of his professional life has been in public institutions (4 years at the University of Colorado and 19 years at Tempe Preparatory Academy).
His formal academic preparation has been in the field of music. His bachelor degree was in Church Music with a minor in Bible where he studied with Roger Koerner, Sue Magnusson, Russel Squire, and John Rowe; his master’s was in Choral Conducting where he studied with Howard Swan, Gordon Paine, and Roger Ardrey; and his doctorate was in Piano Performance, Pedagogy, and Literature, where he also studied group dynamics, humanistic psychology, and Gestalt theory with Guy Duckworth.
He and his wife Louise have four grown children and six grandchildren.
